Golf, is sometimes such a confusing sport that to Spain it has give somewhat another joy. Before it was Severiano Ballesteros, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Sergio Garcia (actual winner of the master), today it is Jon Rahm.
This youngster from Barrica, Vizcaya, has made a name for himself in the world of professional golf. At only the age of 22, he is very much talked about amongst the lovers of golf.
JON RAHM’S PROGRESSION
His trajectory is impeccable. From a young age he has stood out in tournaments back at home. He has been able win tournaments with ease; this helped become able of competing at a national level. Where he was still basically the best.
Rahm has developed as a player, he has broken records that hadn’t been broken in a long time. For example being the number one amateur for more than 50 weeks, and winning the Ben Hogar Award twice.
But like a professional player, he couldn’t have started any better. This 2017, Rahm, has conquered the “farmers insurance open” which was held in san diego owned by the PGA Tour and recently the “DDF Irish Open” is owned by the European tour.
These titles, at such an early age, not only have they served him as professional recognition, but they have made him position himself as someone who aspires in playing in the biggest tournaments of the season.
The next trophy that waits for him is a Major, “The open championship” that will be held in the Royal Birkdale in southport, England. Where we hope that Rahm will move forward and will be able of standing firm between the best.
In this way we will be able of saying that; John Rahm has stopped being the future of Spanish golf but the present.
